I support the Declaration for Urban Cycle Logistics in Belgium As a citizen or professional, I want cargo bikes to be a fully-fledged means of transport for the delivery of goods and services in urban areas. I share the vision of the Belgian Cycle Logistics Federation (BCLF): 33% of professional urban transport should be done by bike!

By signing this declaration, I support the following 5 objectives: Improving the quality of life in the city • Reduce greenhouse gas emissions • Improve air quality • Reduce noise pollution Create Local Jobs and Support the Local Economy • Value human resources • Develop quality jobs • Train couriers and develop a career path for the profession • Prioritise the use of local resources and products Stimulate Sustainable, Innovative, and Efficient Urban Logistics Solutions • Encourage the use of cargo bikes in the logistics chain, complementing other modes of transport • Promote innovation in delivery processes • Give citizens the choice of a sustainable delivery method when ordering Value Sustainable Transport • Fairly compensate couriers • Support bike deliveries to ensure they are economically viable in the transport sector • Consider the societal cost of transport in the price paid Develop Cyclo-Logistics Infrastructure • Provide cycling infrastructure for all users, both citizens and professionals • Make urban consolidation hubs available I support this initiative and encourage other citizens to do the same.
