This year, we had the exciting opportunity to attend the International Cargo Bike Festival in Utrecht for the second time! Our participation was particularly special as we were invited to speak on a panel titled “An Overview of the State of Cycle Logistics Operations.”
Sam, from CIE, presented the results of the Operators Survey on a European level, setting the stage for a comprehensive discussion. During the panel, representatives from different countries were invited to share their knowledge and perspectives. Romain, our French colleague, introduced “Colis Activ,” an initiative to stimulate economically deliveries by carrier cycle, while our German colleague, Tom, presented insights from the national survey in Germany. Phillipe presented the BCLF, delivering a teaser of our upcoming barometer and data study, and highlighted our communication campaign and our bike logistic declaration.
This exchange of ideas and best practices underscored the progress being made across Europe in promoting sustainable transportation, showing how different countries are advancing cycle logistics in urban environments.
The festival was also a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with numerous industry professionals dedicated to transforming urban mobility. Engaging with like-minded individuals allowed us to share experiences and discuss innovative solutions to drive our sector forward.
We left the festival inspired and eager to implement new ideas and strategies into our future initiatives.
